- Jamile and John Johnson visited cemetery on 11/30/2002 and took pictures. Headstone shows death date of July 22, 1957, but that was actually the burial date. Correct date of death was July 19, 1957.

Mrs. Addie Wingate, 80, died at the Clark Nursing Home here yesterday following a lingering illness. She had been a resident of the home for the past year.
Born Sept. 25, 1876 in North Carolina, she leaves one sister, Mrs. Laura Baird, Franklin, N. Carolina; and the following step-children, John Wingate, West Frankfort, Ill.; Ora Wingate, Bloomington, Ill.; Mrs. Essie Connover and Mrs. Helen Montgomery, both of Poplar Bluff.
Funeral services will be held at 1 o'clock Monday (7/22/57) afternoon in the Greer Croy and Fitch Chapel. Burial will be in the Woodlawn Cemetery. (Jamile has copy)

Funeral services for Mrs. Addie Wingate, 80 year old local resident, who died Friday, were conducted yesterday (7/22/57) at 1 p.m., at the Greer, Croy and Fitch Chapel. The Rev. John Wingate of West Frankfort, Ill., officiated and burial was in Woodlawn cemetery. The funeral was under the direction of Greer, Croy and Fitch. (Jamile has a copy)
