Grandma Harmon passed away at the home of her son-in-law, George Cook, near his place, December 25, aged 83 years. She leaves several children, grandchildren and a host of friends to mourn her departure. Her remains were laid to rest in the Sedgewickville cemebery Sunday.

Mrs. Martha Harmon died at the home of her son-in-law, George Cook, near Sedgewickville, December 25, aged about 83 years. Mrs. Harmon was the widow of Daniel Harmon, who died a number of years ago. Mr. Harmon was a soldier in the Black Hawk War, and Mrs. Harmon was a pensioner under his claim. She was Mr. Harmon's second wife and several years his junior.
1880 Federal Census: Martha (widow) and her children Hannah and Andrew were living in MO/Bollinger/German Township.
