Notes |
- John Cotton was a long time resident in Wayne County, and of Goldsboro.
John and his wife Polly moved to Chambers County, AL in the same wagon train that brought William Lee, Sr. and family from North Carolina. John and his wife and children settled on a plantation adjoining that of the Lees (section 14 T22, R27).
John and Polly are most likely buried in unmarked graves in the Cotton Cemetery in Chambers County, Al , as there are a number of unmarked graves located there.
