- Moved to the site where Rosebud is now located in November 1888. They left Rosebud in 1891. Always on the move, the family returned and left the Rosebud area at least six times.
In 1902, Frances and his son Dennis opened a confectioner store at Gladys and did well for a few months, but moved to Spindle Top, TX and had financial problems after extending too much credit to customers.
